About This Spot
Stepping into Bea's Wok N Roll feels like discovering a treasured neighborhood spot that’s quietly woven into the fabric of DeKalb. Tucked away on Sycamore Road, this unassuming Vietnamese restaurant greets you with a warm, homey vibe—modest in appearance but rich with character. The pace here is unhurried, inviting guests to settle in and savor more than just a meal, but a welcoming moment that feels genuine and familiar.
Inside, the space is cozy and intimate, where the hum of friendly conversation and the delicate clatter of dishes form a comforting soundtrack. Bea herself often adds a personal touch, chatting with diners and sharing stories behind her dishes, making it clear this isn’t just a business—it’s a labor of love shaped by her heritage and creativity.
The menu mirrors that sincerity, offering vibrant Vietnamese flavors that draw you in gently, then linger long after. Whether it’s the fragrant broth of a carefully simmered pho or the crisp, satisfying bite of a spring roll wrapped in fresh lettuce and pickled veggies, each bite reflects thoughtful balance and a playful edge. There’s an effortless charm in how familiar ingredients come together with unexpected twists, sparking curiosity and comfort all at once.
Over the years, regulars have watched Bea’s offerings evolve, embracing new ideas while staying true to the soul of Vietnamese home cooking. For those who appreciate a place where food is made with heart and where every visit feels like coming home, Bea's Wok N Roll quietly stands as a local gem. Here, the joy is in the moments shared around the table as much as in what’s served up on the plate.

I've started at Bee's Wok nRoll when she ran her road side dinner in a Car sales Parking lot. Me (Bob) and my friend Scott, stopped in one day and was surprised at how good ger food was. We went to Bee's every chance we had and she always had something new that you could put your finger on with how she came up with the ideas. She explained erly on that she was Vietnamese. I asked her one time if she ever cooked steak and that I would pay whatever if she could cook a steak. She said her husband love when she made it for him. We madeplans to have her steak, I must tell you, it was my favorite steak of all times and I had been to some great steak houses in my days. Bee is an amazing cook and teaches her other cooks just how it must be made. I live in upstate NY now. Bee I love your food to this day and wished I could have it again. One thing about Bee was that if you visited her newer restaurant she will remember you and know your name. Long after my friend Scott moved away, she always asked how he was doing. Scott loved her GIANT bowls of soup which were a meal onto them self. Bee's Great lady and an excellant chief. Miss yoi Bee! Bob

Food was tasty and good spice, had beef fried rice, the nice lady made my egg roll when I ordered it. The meat was a little tough and dry but all in all was pretty good.

It's a hole in the wall that you might just drive past. Over the years, I've found the best Asian food restaurants often not the most interesting looking on the outside. There's nothing fancy about it, but man is the food AMAZING! It is a small place, but well worth the wait if it's busy. Update 4/5/22. Still awesome. Still delicious and the food is better than a lot of fancy Chicago restaurants. The curry tofu is just, well, it's spicy af, and so flavourful. If it says it's spicy, it is, so be forewarned. She takes pride in making sure everything is fresh and that everyone loves their meal. Go soon. Go now. Go often. Just GO!

Food is amazing, the spicy crab rangoons are delicious, the egg rolls are really good. I especially go for the chicken fried rice, it is very good. Bea is awesome, always fun to chat with!

Absolutely delicious. For apps, we got their special which was shrimp potstickers in a spicy soy sauce (comes with 5) and then we also got Bea's egg roll (comes with 2). While both were amazing, the egg roll was by far the best. We took the waiters suggestion and ate the egg roll wrapped in the lettuce with pickled veggies. For the main, we got spicy chicken curry. It was great. It didnt have as much sauce as I expected but I was fine with that. I will state it was just a tad salty but that was fine with me. Now for the dining room, fair warning, it is small. I dont know if there are ten tables and the menu is pretty small as well. But to me, a small menu means they have more or less perfected a few dishes and serve them well.

The waiter was hilarious. Made us feel like we were talking to a friend immediately. Bea checked on us a few times and she was lovely. The food was savory. The portions were very good. Totally recommended
